JB+, Dinan Res Delete and Drop In Dry Air Filter

Hello All! Wanted to see if anyone else went this route. I wanted something to just kick the car up a little notch, and based on my searches this looks to be a nice little bump (Sound and a tad more power). Cant really find anyone with a similar setup (mostly all Dinan from what I can tell). Anyone here with a similar setup? Like I said its a daily driver for me, so I did not want to go full crazy, plus, its still under warranty for the next two years . After that, I am afraid all bets are going to be off...

I did dinan sport tuner, res delete and rear exhaust. It adds a noticeable amount of power and some sound.

Not sure how res delete sounds with stock exhaust but Dinan exhaust and res delete has lots of drone at highway speeds. I had the stock resonator welded back in after about 1000 miles of having the resonator delete. Changed to a valvetronic exhaust and I am much happier now.

I disagree, I don't notice any drone on the highway with my dinan res delete and rear section, if anything on steady state cruising I can't hear it much if at all. It's really mostly noticeable when accelerating.

NICE! Yea I just put it in yesterday and today. Havent gotten a chance to get on the highway with it, but the JB+ from what I can tell is perfect amount of power boost for me.

Now I am looking to see if i can get the valves coded open, but doesn't look like Bimmercode can do that from what I can tell you have to use BimmerLink? but i am an Android person and BimmerLink is iphone only, lame....

Yeah I use Bimmercode. But not for the valves. I bought the plug kit that does it at the plug itself.

when you used the plugs, you had to put it into sport plus first right, and then while its running disconnect it to leave them open?

Maybe you lucked out. Everyone has different preferences on exhaust, just giving my input. Drone with that setup is a common complaint when the Res delete is in the mix. I found steady-state cruising at 70 MPH to be the worst.

I loved the setup for around town but any time I had to slab it on the highway it was draining. Even the Dinan exhaust w/o res delete but with an aftermarket downpipe was kind of droney. I am much happier with my FI exhaust, more aggressive than the Dinan when valves are open and a lot tamer when the valves are closed.

Hope my experience is the same as yours. I just ordered the Dinan exhaust/res delete combo from IND . Once I heard the way this set up sounded on the videos BAN_M2 shared I was sold He also has the FS catted downpipe, which is next on my list once I complete the break-in miles.

Dinan exhaust and res delete, no drone. In fact possibly as quiet as stock on the highway

Dinan Exhaust and Res Delete here too. It was the best sounding combination I could find, especially for the dollar...I explored most of them. My dealer is a Dinan shop, installs and warranties are easy...that was a bonus.

It's absolutely, undeniably louder at highway cruising. Drone? maybe, but comfortable enough to cruise with my wife and young kids snoozing in the back. Startup is borderline obnoxious and raw...shake the house loud. The changes are most noticeable under moderate acceleration around 2,000-3,500RPM where it's a deep racey note. On cool mornings, the resonation rattles the rear deck at the same point. My commute is winding back country roads...it's worth the slight noise discomfort for the deeper sound and shotgun back pressure.

Any other mods or is your car otherwise stock? I only ask because I haven't heard just the Dinan exhaust/res delete combo described as obnoxious and raw before. I have heard that description when combined with the Fabspeed catted downpipe though (which I also plan to get).

No other mods. It's all a matter of perspective. When you're with family and young kids in a quiet neighborhood, cold start is obnoxious. You have to yell to the person next to you. Once the flaps close it's reasonable, deeper and more refined.

That said, I love it. The days I'm on my own with no one to bother, it loud without being too "modded"
