Does Fabspeed Sport Downpipe Void Warranty?

Does Fabspeed Sport Downpipe Void factory Warranty? 2016 M2. I guess I could ask dealer tomorrow, but just did not know if anyone knew an answer to that.

Non factory replacement they may give you crap about it and ask why didn't you replace it under the warranty. If they see a CEL you may have a battle on your hands. Is the fabspeed CARB approved?

Lots of people are quite afraid of voiding their warranty

Firstly, you won't void your "entire" warranty (electrical, suspension, etc.), only the parts affected by the aftermarket parts.

If your turbo breaks and they notice you have a aftermarket DP installed, they will most likely try to blame it on the DP and you may have to play out of pocket for that.

Of course, that is the best case scenario. From what I've read on the forums, BMW could deny your warranty anytime they want if they feel you've done mods to your car (from datalogs or visual), and you'd have to take them to court to resolve the issue. During that time, you can't drive your car as it will be considered evidence. So going this route will be inconvenient and expensive.

Yeah, I just asked my sales guy too and he said pretty much what others have said here, if its "Non Related" (electrical or something), its probably not an issue, but if they "think" its related then they wont cover it.

Guess ill just wait for a little bit.

It also varies from dealer to dealer to a large degree.
Some are more mod-friendly than others. Typically, in my experience, if you can find one that is still a Dinan dealer too, they tend to be more mod-friendly.

Going into the dealer with a DP showing a CEL could lead to a red flag, or if you have a tune and it masks your DP and they see it then they will flag you then. You might not know it at the time but you might find out later.....

No since it does not add any stress on other car components
