Any 2018 build owners know what they're getting or what they received? I asked my sales rep he said they can't put in a special request for the PSS. I enjoy the conti's on my current car (VW GLI) but I think they transfer alot of road noise to the car compared to other tires I had experience with (Goodyear, Michelin, Hankook, Pirelli)

Your dealer can put a request in for the Conti's but not the PSS.

Just kidding - however, if you read through the entire thread (and I don't recommend that), you will see that it is complete luck of the draw - your dealer, heck, even BMW, has no control over what you get.

It is kind of like a box of chocolates...

I know that it suck to have bad tires on your beautiful car that will be held back with these tires that we are getting most of the time on recent production M2.

I lost my lottery as well.
Then I told myself, okay suck it up be a man and lets get the latest MPS4S and I did with HRE wheels. I have not mounted them yet as winter is still around up in the north I live but already happy to see them.

I sold my Contis to one of forum members, to be honest, I heard that they last pretty long (althouhg they are not ideal for traction) with extreme tracking condition so you may want to burn them out quick on tracks (if you do) and I figure that out after I sold them otherwise I would have kept them for sessions.

However, keep in mind that good tires are the best investment for your car before any modification and you should use them according to your main use of your car. Contis are (i would say) not good for street use on backroads and twists, but they could be useful on track if you are considering good set of tires to purchase after burning them out anyways.

Thanks for the info guys, if I lose the tire lotto I'll probably get a set of PS A/S 3+ upsized to 255/275 because I realistically have 3-4 months of hot weather in NY to justify summer tires.

Just picked up my M2 at Welt on Monday. Came with PSS. March 6 build.

March 13 was my order day, got MPSS's. The other 2 brand new M2's that got delivered with mine (both spoken for too from what I heard) got Conti's.

I won the tire lotto!

It doesn't look good for 2018 owners according to this poll. I was hoping to get P-Zero's on my Golf R but got Contis. At least the trade off between P-Zero and Contis isn't that big a deal but PSS are much better. Will I go 0-2 and get Contis on my M2?

I ended up with P-Zero's on the R, and MPSS on the M2. You never know, maybe you'll get lucky!

Just came back from the Performance Center West in Thermal. All the cars there are on Contis. If the car came with Michelin rubber, they get replaced with Conti once they're due.

Getting my car at Christmas was awesome but once I found out it had Conti's I was less than thrilled. I will most likely replace them this coming Christmas time. I always seem to buy tires in November/December.

BTW,
I got conti 3 and not 6.
Also few friends of mine got also conti 3.
Production is March 2018.
