I got these tips from a vendor I met at the Montreal Car Show. Thought I had share. Very happy with the quality. The tips are sand-blasted stainless steel. Even the provided clamps are stainless steel. I was going to replace the 70mm bolts with 50mm ones. I eventually spent $20 to weld them on instead for a complete clean look (shop wanted to charge me only $10 but I was like, 'dude, let me pay you enough for coffee.')

Edit: forgot to mention I use these on OEM (non-MPE) exhaust with 70mm pipes.

Wow, those look amazing!
Is that on stock exhaust?

Care to share the vendor's info?

Yes, I forgot to mention and edited my org post to say they fit on stock 70mm pipes. The outer sleeve is 72mm so stock pipe slides in just right. The CF diameter is 90mm. The entire spec including length is custom ordered.

I don't know if it's against forum rule to post vendor info. He doesn't ship to US anyway bc he doesn't want to deal with US custom. I ordered them at the car show late Jan. Takes about 10 days for him to get them but I just had a chance to go back to Montreal to pick them up last week. If there's enough interest, I can check with him if he would do a group buy at a better price than what I paid ($350/set)

Oh I am sure these are made in China. I am not in illusion that these are crafted in Germany or whatever. I have seen some similar ones on eBay at $370 to $400 but they are in such a polished finish that I can't tell whether they are just plated steel or actual polished stainless steel. They also couldn't categorically state they are the right length and diameter for M2 fitment.

The vendor had a set of matte carbon on display as well. They do look very, very nice. I think matte goes well with stock diffuser or matte cf diffuser. Since I have the OEM glossy cf diffuser, I got the glossy cf tips to match

Yeh, a bit bulky...

I thought about replacing them with up to 2 of these on each tip for added assurance. The screw on this pictured clamp would not be visible unless you put your head on the ground. At the end I had them welded for my complete liking.

Installed a set of these today, I used the big clamps that came with them to crimp down the tip openings so they were a snug fit on the oem pipe but for final install used marine grade stainless steel clamps like those in RedCarrot's link above, can't see them from the rear though I did paint them black (& I had to paint the rivets on my set as they arrived unpainted stainless). Time will tell as to their quality but for the money I'm so far very happy with them.

Where did you get these from? I'm very interested in a set. I'm planning to keep the stock exhaust but go with the carbon diffuser at some point, and these tips would go well for that project.

I found them via the M3/M4 forum, a few there have bought them but here is a link someone posted that I used: https://www.alibaba.com/product-deta...1f843e5fdCLl0J

I had never bought from Alibaba before, made my order by contacting the seller (David Fan) who was prompt with all replies, paid via Paypal just in case but the package arrived on time and intact, $50 per tip (I ordered the gloss carbon and brushed stainless steel finish, 115mm long)

I just installed the comp pack angled gloss black tips but for 50 a tip I could get these and just swap them back and forth as my mood changes....

What dimensions did you select on the "inlet diameter" in your order? 70mm?

Has anyone seen the matte finished CF ones from Alibaba? I am considering the matte carbon with brushed inner.

Just ordered these from eBay.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/264128037281

I believe that they are the same thing everyone is talking about in this thread? Please correct me if I am wrong. Anyone have any updates as to the longevity and overall quality of the tips?

Those won't fit an M2 I don't think, they're for the regular 2 or 3 series.

The post just above yours states that the inlet diameter needs to be 70mm?!?

As for the longevity of the set I bought, they're fine so far. The resin of the carbon fiber is slightly more yellow than the genuine M Performance diffuser and trunk lip that I have, but that's not aging, it's just the way they were from the start. It's subtle, and I'm a perfectionist, so I can tell...

I got mine from Ali Baba by the way.

SHOOT. In the eBay description it said they would fit an F87. I guess I can return them worst case. Anything else I can do to modify them and make them fit?
