Pleasant surprise while driving today

Today I was driving my M2 on my fav back roads and came across; two Porsche GT4s in convoy, then later on a Ferrari followed by a Lamborghini. Then I saw a 992 GT3 and an F-Type parked side by side while filling up with gas. I don’t recall seeing so many cool cars on a regular drive in any one day.
But then finally on my way home, I made a rather spirited merger from the ramp to the highway - changing gears at 6,000 RPM - and within short order, I noticed a car behind me drive up and basically, proceed to tail me. I paused a bit to see what car it was and to my pleasant surprise, it was a LBB OG M2 - same as mine. It looked so good. In fact it looked so muscular and planted in my rearview, that I assumed the owner had made mods to improve the stance of his car. When I got to my exit, I slowed down and he pulled up next to me and we honked and gave each other the peace sign. Cool dude!
It was then I realized his car was actually stock (appearance wise).
It’s the first time I recall seeing what my car looks like in the rear view mirror of other cars when I’m driving up towards them. No wonder two other drivers pulled over earlier to let me pass. LOL.
Occasionally, I take a look at the G87 and wonder maybe, why not, its the last manual M2 after all etc etc …….. but after this encounter today, nah, I’ll pass! This car is a keeper!

The F87 M2 does have presence!
