Do winter tires count? These are 245/45/18's on TA5R 18x9 on stock suspension. The 45 is a bit tall for the front, and I get a tiny bit of rub on the front liner near full lock, but only on the driver side. I don't think you can go to taller tire in the front.

An 18 with 40 sidewall definitely feels a bit number all things considered. In my case, I tried to balance this out with some better tires to bring some life back (Potenza Race, Cup 240, etc.), but you definitely lose some magic going to a taller sidewall.

I will say tho, if you plan to daily the car, a 40 sidewall is actually a big improvement in comfort. It was larger than I expected and makes spirited driving on less than ideal roads more fun, since the car feels less unsettled mid corner when encountering bumps.

Off if that is the case. any issue running the same sidewall profile on 18's?

No issue, just go with a wider tire frankly (like a 265 & 285/35/18 setup or something). You will probably need your coils to drop to compensate the additional gap for the smaller wheel/tire setup, but that’s about it.

You running on the 10.5 513m from the CSR?

Looks REALLY good and is a nice pairing for the rubber! I really love the look of the 513m but the weight savings were meh coming from the 437m.
