What are you paying?
Are these cars still selling at MSRP? If so, why? Are the production numbers that limited?
I'm considering ordering a MY18 once pricing becomes available, but just want to know what I can expect. |

There is about 6% profit in the car at MSRP and yes, that continues to be the norm.

Joking aside, MY2018 is the LCI one, so you'd expect to get extra charges for the LED lights, new back lights, some minor interior trim bs, and maaaaybe a new front bumber (although it seems to be for the M2 CS/Competition limited edition ones, but who knows).
Also, you wont get the new B58 engine, just the beefed up N55 we've been using so far. Sources for this? My intuition. Next gent M2 will get a pimped B58 or S58. |

Have you asked your local BMW dealers what, if any, they charge over MSRP? Also ask about their (hopefully refundable) deposit policy and allocation list.
For example, there are (3) dealers in my area with (2) others within a modest drive. If all of them were charging significantly more, I'd check this forum and start checking other BMW dealers or sites such as https://www.cars.com/. It's very limited supply and high demand, so if you can find an existing car (why wait) or get on a list from a reliable dealer at or near MSRP, I'd say jump on it. |

Look for available M2's and check the ask. If they are accepting MSRP, you're in good shape. If they are asking more, stay firm and let them know to call you if they will accept MSRP and keep on looking.
My M2 was an order/delivery cancellation and they were asking 5K over. A week later, they took MSRP. In my case, I had an offer for an order at MSRP plus my USAA 2K off manufacturer incentive with another dealer. I reminded the dealers over ask and I was willing to wait and I'm not going to pay more. I found another M2 but it was a DCT and wanted a 6MT. My CA offered under MSRP (-$500) if I took it by end of month. With calling around and researching availability for a week, I got my MY17 M2 in a week. Patience and persistence is key. Good luck! |

It's my 4th bmw.
The last one- a 335d was trouble all my life. They offered loyalty bonus to keep me faithful. Since I am a torque junkie I traded the 335d (425lbs ft torque) for a M2 with 349 lbs. of torque). Hopefully the M2 is as fun but more reliable. |

I just purchased mine this week. Grey, manual, Apple, executive. I stopped by the dealer to see the M2 on my way to another dealer where I planned to buy a 2015 M235. The M2 dealer told me they could not discount the car and had to sell at the $55k msrp. I told them that was fine, I could not make those numbers work, and I had to go pick up the M235. Fast forward 2 hours and they sold me the M2 for $48600. This supposedly included $1500 discount for being an employee of a large insurance company. |

I paid MSRP and happy to do so. I'll get a $500 rebate from BMWCCA and call it a day. My dealer has made it a very easy process and PCD is worth much more than the price of entry. If someone was able to fashion a deal that saved them $2500-5000, my hat's off to them. I'll be thrilled to pick up my first M car - and, won't have any regrets about the price.
