Color issues on New Purchase

Hi, I'm about to pull the trigger on a brand new 2017 m2. I'm in abit of a dilemma. My first choice was actually LBB, but according to the dealer the only available colors at the moment is White, Black and Mineral Grey.

Having not seen any of the colors first hand, except for the LBB. I am leaning towards Mineral Grey and Black. What do you guys think? Which color would u pick?

I have seen the car in all colors. White is underwhelming IMO actually saw it at a car show and more people were looking at the black M235 w red leather than the white M2. I've had mineral grey and BSM now. Since your only interior option is black I'd definitely get the mineral grey. It's a really really nice color and pops in the sun. That looks mean with some carbon bits or even his black grilles.

Depends what you're really going for. MG and BSM are both great colors. You really can't go wrong either way.

In my opinion, the contrast between the black trim and MG can either be a pro/con. I've seen some photos where it looks great and some where it's just a bit much. Whereas if you pick black you can go full "stealth" with both the shadowline trim as well as any other black bits you add.

I would likely have gone with MG if I was not able to get LBB - with the black grill and gills it looks awesome. My only concern with MG was that it was too close to my previous car's SGM and my wife would complain the car looked the same for much more money

Why is LBB not avail? I've never heard that - or is that all they have in stock or incoming to Manila?

BTW, for me personally, every time I see a picture of BSM I think "damn that looks good". I will admit to having never seen any color other than LBB in person however - but BSM was my 2nd choice, MG 3rd, and AW a distant 4th.

But I already have a BSM car...

Checked with my sources and no word of a stop on LBB orders...you should double check with the dealer.

If you really can't get LBB, BSM is the way to go.

You know what they say...once you go BSM you will never go back. It is awesome. Looks the meanest. People see you in their rearview mirror...and they move over.

Don't settle. Get the color you want, not your second choice, and not what anyone else here thinks is best.

Ordered a BSM myself, but you should get what you want! These are not stocked...the allocations are ordered 1 by 1. Maybe they already ordered their allocations?

Get LBB, other colors are boring. Most compliments I get about mine are on the color, not the car itself

According to one guy here metallic paints are heavier than non-metallic, maybe they are phasing out metallic paints as a way to reduce weight??

Seriously seems odd that they can't shoot LBB especially since it is the launch color and most popular color. The car looks great in BSM and MG. After seeing a M2 in BSM right before I placed my order I spent a few days going back and forth between LBB and BSM, decided to go with LBB but I would have been just as happy with BSM. LBB is a little more forgiving in terms of care but a clean and well cared for BSM M2 looks sick.

I got LBB but I have to admit BSM looks awesome and there are times I wish I had went with BSM. I already have a BSM X6 and had a black Z3 so went for something different. Don't get me wrong, I love my LBB and wouldn't change it but that BSM sure is sweet.

Funny how tastes are different. I'm not a fan of MG at all and would go for white before MG. I was surprised when I saw white with the M stripes. I figured it would be ugly but I have to say that I didn't hate it.

Black is prettier and meaner looking MG is less work to take care of and less flashy.

I went with the LBB. Just pops and looks nice with the black interior. If you are configuring an allocation LBB should definitely be available.

Now, if BMW offered BSM with saddle brown interior then I would have gone with that. I just don't like the lack exterior and interior contrast to go with BSM in the current offering.

Why can't you get LBB? Are these cars they already have configured and in process of being built? If you want LBB then order it in LBB. Color is awesome!

according to the dealer, they only get 1 allocation of m2 in one batch. And it is very rare for them to get an allocation. They say for this batch, they are only getting white, black and mineral gray. Anyway, since my dealer asked me what my second option was just incase they ran out. My choices were as follows: 1. LBB 2. Mineral Grey 3. Black

If the car hasn't gone into production,then there is no reason why the dealer isn't able to order the car in LBB.Get the color you want.
