Wheel offsets

Hi Guys,

Would anyone be able to let me know if the following would fit on our M2's?

9x19 ET 15 Front
10.5x19 ET25 Rear

From what I can tell, they'd be almost like stock with 15mm spacers.

Anyone know if they'll fit with stock suspension?
Cheers

They won't be anywhere near inside the fenders but might not rub depending on tires.

What about 18x10 +25 offset square.

Seems like the front should have no problem but afraid the rear might be too low of an offset.

I think stock offsets are ET29 for front, and ET40 for the rear.
(Someone correct me if I'm wrong).

I have a set of ET22 wheels for my 1M, and I am 99% sure that it'll stick out on the rear

I was just looking into this...

OEM wheel specs are as follows:
19x9 +29 F
19x10 +40 R

I'd like to know the range of offsets we could put on the M2 so I can know what wheels to hunt for

Thus far I've seen:
BBS FI-Rs
Front: 19x9.5 ET22
Rear: 19x10.5 ET35

Volk TE37s
Front: 19x9.5 ET18
Rear: 19x10.5 ET22
*Super aggressive

Signature Wheels suggests - Link
Front: 19x9.5 ET30
Rear: 19x10.5 ET40

If the car is lowered I would go a bit more aggressive to be flush, especially at the front.

Right now its stock, and still debating whether to lower or not. Probably going to keep it at stock height for now, and re-evaluate later.

OK, on stock height I personally wouldn't go more aggressive than the stock setup as it is flush enough for my taste. But I know a lot of people prefer the slight poke.

What tires are you going to be throwing on this setup?

Haven't decided yet, but either a set of oem F80 Pilot Super Sport take offs, or gong with a bit wider set of RE71r....

I feel like we should update the thread title to "M2 Wheel Offsets", sticky this and have people show what wheels and offsets they've been able to accomplish.

The fronts yes, the rears are too aggressive. The equivalent to the front would have to be 20x10.5 ET37 or 20x10 ET31.
They could still fit if you stretch the tires, add camber, the usual tricks.

M2c - Wheel Offset - will these fit?

Looking to get in on an M2 and I have the following wheels from my M3. Wonder if they will fit...

Will 19 x 9.5 et +32 and 19 x 11 er +25 fit on and M2c?

I'm no expert but I would say that it would be a squeeze, if not rub. And it would largely depend on what size tyres you plan to fit on as well.

Try using this basic calculator to get an idea.
https://www.willtheyfit.com

As an example, plug in the M2C rear stock rim size:
19x10 +40 with 265/35/19

Then put in your new wheels and tyres:
19x11 +25

Let's assume a new tyre size of 285/35/19

The calculator then states it would poke out 27.7mm at the rears.

From what I've read, people are successful using 10mm spacers at the rear on stock rims without scrubbing.. so 27.7mm seems like it would push it.

You will need spacers in the front but rears will hit the outside fenders

Your math is backwards. Lower positive offset puts the wheel further out. Adding spacers gives you less positive offset.

Adding 15mm spacers to +19 offset nets you +4 offset. Given that stock is +29, theyre going to stick out 25mm (basically an inch) more than stock.

dears,
thx for this topic

firstly i ask u this:
M2 oem 19" are
F: et29
R: et40
but they are et+29 or et-29 ???. this is my first question

i think et+29 but this is very crucial to understand "rooms" in the car.

Then second question is:
i have found titan 7 ts5 for my M2
they are 18" 9,5j et22 for square setup with 255 semislick tires for trackday and i am not sure if they can work in my M2 my16 or i will have issues

Some of you may help me?
thx a lot
