This is a really good point. I wonder if it's more of a dealer thing then, not wanting to offer both ED and fleet discounts on a car he can probably sell above MSRP...

I do not know but I do not think one has to do w/the other. The fleet discount is an employee benefit to all employees in the company not just the sales folks. The dealer totals everything up and subtracts the fleet discount. It is essentially a cash coupon that removes $x from the price before tax, similar to a deposit.

It would be like saying a USAA discount is a Veteran's car, but then again, I guess it is So maybe not the best analogy.

If BMW is like any other large corporation. The fleet discount paperwork goes to one department and the ED paperwork another.
My fleet sheet specifically states it cannot be combined with ED or many other programs like CCA, USAA, etc.

I got mine at MSRP but saved 3k with company discount. I can't say this enough. Don't pay a dollar over MSRP. It’s a mass produced car. Just be patient and they'll become more available. Plus, if you're buying it for some kind of investment put it in your 401k instead. Cars are a depreciating asset and the chances a M2 increases in value is slim to none. Rant over!

People have been saying that since last year before the M2 came out and yet here we are, with a 12+ month wait to get a new one and less than a handful in the used market.

Just admit it - the M2 is a hot item and will hold its price.

Will it increase in price or be as good as an investment? Hell no. Is it better than 99.99% of other cars out there in holding its value? Absolutely.

This is why I'm so confused with the low prices that the used ones have sold for on this forum.

Interesting. What have they been going for?

And one thing to keep in mind is forum sales are likely to other enthusiasts/car lovers so they know what the car is, what it's worth and a fair used price.

Out in the wild though, I'm sure some kid with rich parents would be more than willing to pay a premium to have an "exclusive" car.

Fleet discount doesn't apply to ED and can't be combined with CCA. When I saw Estoril's post I got excited and thought I could combine ED + fleet + CCA. Oh well.

However, I was able to get a deal on ED so can't complain. To be fair, as some have said in this thread and others; people getting deals have personal relationships with the CA or have bought many cars through the CA.

At this point it looks like people who can do ED are already pretty lucky. And the ones who can do ED at ED MSRP are getting good deals. [IMG][/IMG]

I paid $325 under MSRP. The car was originally MSRP + $4,995 "CA Market Value" or some BS like that.

I know it's not much but it made me feel better LOL

I agree, I won't pay ADM on principle.

Porsche GT cars have held value or appreciated. I thought maybe m2 would be also, and if so I could try one out without much risk.

I sold my f80 and got a 996TT, which has a great old school feel (chatty hydraulic steering, minimal sound proofing, etc) and solid performance (with chip + exhaust it feels at least on par with stock f80 dct). I'm not 100% sure m2 will work out for me and if it's going to depreciate anyway, I may just continue in the used Porsche path while waiting on my 981.2 gt4 deposit to change from vapor ware to an actual allocation.

Really appreciate everyone's feedback and congrats guys on getting your m2!

Has anyone been able to get the car for below MSRP yet? Particularly for euro delivery?
Lol M4s are going for under invoice all day nowadays and M3 500 over invoice. US Delivery.

Euro delivery should always be invoice or less on an M4 way under invoice. Make sure you have some incentives such as BMW FS loyalty, BMW CCA and/or, USAA.

Ditto. $2,500 off from the CORP SALES PROGRAM. Expires 3/31/17.
Cannot be used with ED since ED has it's own discount off of MSRP.

Got an allocation for June at 500 under MSRP, plus I'll get the USAA discount for a total of 2,500 off the MSRP. Ordered AW, 6spd, and apple car play.

Still deciding on the color though, may be swayed to LBB once I see it in person.

All of the ridiculously overpriced cars I've tracked on cars. Com have sold. While there were 28 cars listed nationwide a couple months ago, now there are 22. None are listed below sticker, although I'm sure dealers got those cars below sticker. The stats don't suggest any dealer will be interested in discounting any new cars in the near future. Also keep in mind it is still winter and this is clearly a summer car. Far fewer people will buy this car in January.

Yep! Got $1000 off MSRP plus fleet discount ($2500). So $3500 under!

I know I posted earlier in this thread. I got a little better offer way closer to where I live, and a forum member took my spot at the other dealer.
