My M2 Performance Edition arrives in 5 weeks

What's up guys! Yes, the M2 Performance Edition (ZL9) is totally real! My build should arrive in about 5 weeks and I'm going to do the Performance Center Delivery. I'll be sure to document every step. I want to thank Gianni Fermin @ United BMW of Roswell for scoring me allocation. These guys are amazing to work with!

Congrats!

Have to admit though, seeing the same dollar value in USD as I paid for my fully loaded M2 in CAD is kind of weird...

Post some pics when you get it! I wonder if the seats look different?

Just curious how did you come across the allocation? Randomly called your CA up and asked?

Also, is the Performance Edition part of the dealers already allocated cars for Q2? or is it in addition to that?

I just called Gianni @ United BMW of Roswell and he hooked me up. Try reaching out to him. His email is gfermin @ penskeautomotive.com He'll probably be able to hook you up. Purchased many cars from them, including my F80 M3 and my previous E90 ZCP. Stand up guys.

This is really nice for you US guys... Manual seats, no panoramic roof and so many options! Nice piece of kit.

Nothing will look different then the options, equipment that already exists on the M2.

I thought it didn't get the DKG? Also what's different about this performance edition? Does it have more power or just less options?

Nothing ? You're overlooking the likelihood of an "///M2 Performance Edition 001/150" plaque and a key hanger.

I will admit I haven't followed this too closely, but I thought the PE was supposed to come with the M Driver's Package... but I see it was extra.

Congrats though!

I was actually offered to purchase a performance edition M2 the other day that started production already. Tempting but I passed.

I'm going to wait what's in store for LCI CS and I'm sure there will be some other kind of Performance Edition offered for base LCI at one point.

You should've hopped on it. M2 is already hard to get as is. One of 150 should be a future collectible.

Congrats, should be a fun car. Personally I couldn't justify the extra price. You pay more for less in effect, basically the same thing Porsche does. Plus once you have had Comfort Access, it's hard to not have it, especially if this is a daily driver. I had the equivalent to comfort access on a 370z and then didn't have it on my e92 m3 i had after the Z and missed comfort access everyday i had the car (4 years). I'm so glad i have it in my M235i.

If you don't have the lane assist, etc. you should gain an extra glovebox or whatever they call it.

Is it true the nav screen is smaller? Say that in one of the articles.

Comfort acces is a security issue in Europe, they can easily hack this signal and duplicate it to gain quick acces to your car...

Thanks! Don't really care for the comfort features. Won't be my daily.
