hmmmmm, latest from my sales advisor:

"Good morning sir! So we have one that's about to be delivered and 2 more ahead of yours! Once I have a production number for you, I will get that sent right over to you."

If by then you have a production number and your car is a few months out the dealer should have no problem giving you something to drive. Just sold my dad's Allroad to get him a sport wagon and the dealer wanted the trade right away. He gave us a pretty nice 328 to drive for 2 months for nothing. You might be stuck with "basic transportation" but you shouldn't be walking.

no, sorry. Tis my grey one that I put a deposit down in July for. At MSRP.

Should I request pickup at the SC PERFORMANCE CENTER? How much is that?

Pickup at the performance center is no extra cost. My car finished production a few days ago and I was given 12/16/16 as a PCD date.

If it's a true allocation, from time the order is submitted, to East coast delivery, about 6-8weeks. Another week or so for PCD.

Your CA at the dealer takes care of it. Just tell them to contact the Performance Center to set it up. You should be able to schedule something if you have a production number.

I had to do the same thing. All worked out in the end with BMW doing a pull ahead on my lease with the new timeframe. The only bummer was that my original car was actually produced on my birthday!

Ps, performance center delivery rocks.
