Adding a little M Sport personality to the AW - I find the factory options in this regard too much - I like more restrained. What thoughts?

I like it on AW. It's not overdone. The stripes down the hood are too much, IMO, but this stuff is good.

The install instructions are very detailed so shouldn't be an issue. You'll also get a 2 page instruction on the rebound and compression settings and what they do and what is the recommended setup. The wheel alignment is set back as the stock car.
.
Any chance you still have those instructions and can share them with the suggested settings?

You're awesome! So there is a lot of plus and minus available. I was afraid that the road settings would be a 2 or so and the track was all the way up. TY!

Where did you get that sticker? Is it a repurposed the side sticker?

no problem. I suspect that most wouldn't need to go much stiffer on track unless running track tyres

Is it that stiff on the road settings? Have you tried playing with it? I ask as mine is a daily driver, and the roads are rough here. I track frequently, and I'm looking to avoid going back to an F80 with adjustable suspension. Trying to judge the wife acceptance factor as a daily.

It is stiffer than stock - new springs as well. But I am happy with it and I drive it most days. So far my wife hasn't complained but did comment that its not as comfy as her X5. But put the heated seats on (winter here) and everyone is happy... Could soften the shocks a bit for daily use but I haven't seen the need.

So now that u have had it for a bit, any issues with speed bumps, driveways, tough entries scraping? That's my biggest concern is have to be super conscious of daily driving habits that could drag...?

No, custom printed to fit the width of the body panel then hand cut at the tail for taper. The color spec (numbers) is just off the internet to what BMW state. So any good signwriter/ sticker firm should be able to do it. The same guys that did this also do my rally Subaru.

The only decisions are in the mock up design and then the gloss level of the sticker.

I was worried by that too but have found that the daily routine I have has not caused any scraping at all. My city carpark is under a building with a straight down ramp which levels out and I thought that may cause problems but all good.

You can always raise a bit and it will still be lower than stock. Just keep the 5mm nose down stance. Factory stock is set up flat. We measured before and after.

The areas where I have to be careful is nose in angle parking where you can hit the curb, and watch out for the rear because the extra width at the back. But that's the same no matter what the suspension.

The little black plastic lip in front of the front tyres sometimes gets a little scape but can't see that so I am not worried

Thanks!
So there is only one compression and rebound setting advised from BMW and this is suppose to be the setting to use for both road and track (with normal tyres)?

Yes - only one on the written installation instructions but I have also read that there were supposed to be alternative settings that have been tested on Euro tracks. I have asked my dealer to source for me but they are a bit slow.

Hi M+M - I came across your post after my m performance coilovers install on my M2. And I will say that my results were not as good as yours!

The rear height is the main issue. It is MUCH higher than stock after the install. I suspect maybe I got an incorrect spring? I'm not sure what to make of it. I have the rear adjuster set to their lowest point. I have been advised to remove the adjuster all together and not run it. However before I do that I'm curious how you were able to get the rears nice and low like in your pics. Are u still using the rear adjuster? Lowest setting? Thank you for any help as I'm totally stumped.

Of course we use the rear adjusters. Your installer must have made some kind of mistake. Did they place the adjuster at the wrong end of the spring? Take some photos.

Thanks for the response! I actually installed them myself. Checked and rechecked. In fact removed and reinstalled. Made sure everything was sitting perfect and it is. The adjusters are at the bottom. The top of the spring is using the factory rubber pad to fit in the upper cup. So I'm positive the install is correct.

When I put the mp springs next to the factory spring, it is definitely shorter, however with the adjusters on the spring, it is the same length. I wonder if the high spring rate causes the rear to be higher. It is DEFINITELY higher than stock. I suspect maybe I got the wrong spring? I was chatting with another forum member than they had the exact same issue and they had to remove the rear adjuster.

I'm just afraid I have the wrong spring? Maybe the spec euro vs USA has something to do with it?

Do u mind if we PM? I can then maybe email u pics and or text u pics. I will have to post the pics when I get to a computer. Thanks again
