LBB Available in Ft. Lauderdale

All,
There is an LBB MT w/ Exec. Pkg and Apple Carplay in stock at BMW of Ft. Lauderdale.

Must be from a cancelled order? I've been told they are asking MSRP.

I got approached about it but decided to pass since my current lease doesn't run out until November and I want to do PCD.

Hope this helps someone searching for an LBB 6-speed.

Although I've no idea what that means!

Edit - it actually sounds like a lot of fun. Anyone know the costs?

None, except to get yourself to North Carolina. The dealer needs to set it up.

The problem here is that the dealer already has the car, so it may be tough to pick it up a bit north.

Correction, it is in South Carolina. Yes, it is free for everyone that is asking.

Yep, you're right. I just found out about an unexpected trip to NORTH Carolina. That was stuck in my brain.

I'll add that PCD has rave reviews, but can add 1 - 3 weeks to your delivery time as you have to fit into their schedule.

Totally true, if I had my car delivered to a dealer it would be about 2 weeks earlier than my PCD date. It did allow me to look for an M2 at dealers all over the country without worrying about shipping, which is nice.

You can schedule PCD after you pick up the car from the dealer. I believe you have a year to make the reservation.

PCD is free and something everyone should do at least once. They pick you up from the airport, buy you dinner, pay for your hotel, buy you breakfast, take you to the Center, take you out on the track in a car similar to yours, do fun things, buy you lunch, deliver your car, and send you on your way.

Of course if they let you do it after you pick up your car, you have to get home on your own.

Tempting, but the question is could I keep my brand new car under 4500 revs on a 950 mile journey from the PCD to Houston?!

It's not some law and lots of people say, it might be the worst thing you can do to a brand new engine (babying it). The one thing most agree with is you should vary the RPMs and that's easy enough. Still, unless you tape up the front end and/or put Xpel on the car, it might have a stone chip or 3 in it when you get it home.

As others have stated, there is no charge for PCD. BMW pays for one night in a hotel, a dinner, lunch the next day, as well taking care of getting you to and from the airport, hotel, etc.

You not only get track time using their cars, you also get a cool factory tour. Oh, and this deal also applies to your invited guest.

My personal record:

4 EDs
1 PCD
1 dealership delivery (soon on my 17' M2)
