Yes and no. Around town it's no problem, but at 7/10 or 8/10 you can kinda notice it on the 6MT due to clutch position.

I remember someone on this forum putting his M2 up for sale after a few weeks because this bugged him so much. It seemed a little rash to me at the time but I didnt have my car yet. Now that I have mine I can confirm that guy was totally nuts. It's not noticeable at all. Now if you are the sort of person who turns down a date with a super model because her left big toe is slightly crooked and you cant live with that imperfection, then run away from the M2 now.

I feel like I notice the crooked seat when I am parking parallel next to a curb, the rotated seat position throws me off when I am trying to get everything straightened out.

I knew about the "issue" from reviews, videos etc. prior to taking delivery. I have never noticed it in any way. One of those things press guys like to gripe about. just like the fact that they all pretend to be really really bothered by the auto-rev match because they are so purist and such great drivers the in every day traffic still want to heel toe (roll eyes)

I have tried to find this "crooked seat" and can't detect it, hell I probably sit crooked in the opposite direction, therefore producing a perfect driving position.

Saw Chris Harris' segment on the M2, he talked about it. Then I sat in one, and I noticed it immediately. Still doesn't bother me.
I've thought the E46 seat (or steering column) was crooked for more than 10 years now. so maybe it's me.

I, myself must be crooked because when I test drove the car, in 2016, I tried to confirm the slight seat deviation from the wheel center and .... WTH... I could find nothing out of place. Could it be that my crookness compensates for the car's?

Did you guys notice the times? For Ignition it did 1:22.73 then on H2H it did 1:24.27. My best guess is the tires are hella old.

if you jump between different cars, you'll kind of notice it, but it's not bothersome. my m2 is my daily and i don't really feel it until i drive my wife's car or my i8 for a few days, then get back into the m2. it feels like the gas pedal is a little bit closer than it should be.

I actually have OCD and I have it baaad. For me if I was never told that the seat was crooked I doubt I would have felt it or noticed it. Sometimes I swear I can feel it. With that said though, the power of suggestion is VERY strong. It doesn't bother me... maybe because other things bother me a lot more lol

I should add, if someone ever developed a way to make the seat "straight". I would pay serious money for it

As for the seat this is likely something one dopey journalist learned of at the car's launch inadvertently from a BMW insider that spread around like wildfire amongst those clones. They otherwise would have never known or noticed it. More silly nit picky bullshit about a brilliant car. |

I only notice this when I'm parking. For the first few weeks, I just couldn't park my car straight. Now that I've gotten used to it, I just aim the front a little to the left to align it properly. When driving, I do not notice it at all. I'd much rather this than an off center steering wheel that a lot of cars have these days.
