By your logic, Toyota Corolla is better than M2, much better.

Not really, because I don't think any enthusiast would prefer the driving chara teristics of the carolla over the M2. I get what you're saying but the carolla comparison doesn't make any sense.

I guess I can understand the sunroof comment judging by the fact that you live in the desert (I close the shade on my 650 during sunny hot days). But here in Chicago, where sunny days are as rare as rain for you, I'm really going to miss not having a sunroof. I talked to the US product planner for the M2 and he says that a sunroof will ruin the spirit of the car (because they want you to be able to take it to the track). I get all that and would be somewhat OK with that if it was for every country. Because what he is saying is the car has a purpose here in the States but no where else.

Knowing my luck the 18s will have the sunroof option here in the States

Sure, m2 has weaker exhaust note than m3/4
However Corolla without exhaust beats both m2 and m3/4
