I saw this one in Germany on the Autobahn between Munich and Stuttgart during my F80 M3 ED trip. Looks better in real life but I still don't like the tail lights. Are they already for sale in Germany? The driver was kind of an ass, I tried to say hi but he just gave me a pissy look and kept driving.

You can order them but deliveries start April '16, so the person you saw was most likely a BMW employee.

Wait! Don't give up. Did you go by the Apple Store parking lot? Or route whatever that the other forum member saw the white M2 on? If the employee is going home he will be on that route again shortly.

So can the next person which go there make photo from underneath the car ? From the exhaust, valves, differential and all that stuff we can see ?

I have reservations for all you can eat sushi tonight, so I can't miss that.

Also there were clearly a lot of employees there busy moving cars around so I didn't want to overstay my welcome. And even if it showed up I wouldn't feel comfortable snapping 100 pics.

But I'm going to go back later this week, I promise, but after work hours, not in the afternoon.

im sure someone at BMW NA is lurking this thread, i dont think its too far fetched of an idea but maybe they will park a white one in the same spot where the blue one was, a white M235 just to troll you LMAO

after seeing the difference in LBB in this thread it makes me think the press shots in the official release must have been shot with a Nikon as they misrepresent LBB blue as well

It is still a turquoise blue in the press photos.Just compare the color of the fender to the blue brake caliper in this press photo,the color looks like a turquoise blue to me.The problem with saying exactly what it looks like is that it is a color that changes quite a bit, depending on lighting and the type of camera that is taking the picture.

i don't see much green in that example, yes its impossible to pin down,

I see a fair amount of green in that, and I have a calibrated 10-bit per channel LCD to look at it with. That's part of the problem, cameras and monitors are all over the place as Nantucket stated. I applied a blur to that fender area and sampled the color and I got 36, 132, 165 (RGB).

I saw it in person like an inch away, and in overcast light I believe you could ask 20 random strangers what color it was and most would say teal. That's my opinion anyway. Again, that was in overcast light and the car was a little dirty.

Bottom line is I think you have to see it for yourself if you can before you order if you're on the fence.

yeah i agree, problem is there is no way of seeing it before ordering it down here at the arse end of the earth, pictures are all we have and they misrepresent LBB totally, so in your opinion its teal in real life?

Are the rear reflectors a legal requirement thing? Just see no reason for them to put them on otherwise (getting in trouble if you take them off). At least in Europe, factory models don't get the fender reflectors thankfully. The could have at least located the M2 rear reflectors in the same fashion as the 235i's.

I have seen LBB in person too (not on an M2) and the pictures in the link below are a very good representation. There is absolutely a teal tone but it is also absolutely blue. There are pictures of an X5M in another thread in LBB and they are very, very close to the actual color of what I saw in person.

That picture is also the same as the local LBB X5M.
