Also if interested, use shane5 for 5% off your order. I got my order with the GTS carbon hood vent, matte carbon radio trim, and M Performance gas tank cap

Yes, as well as all the little bits and bobs off of the OEM hood, like the strikers and grommets.

I have a question, the water flowing on the hood will enter through the air intake and flow into the engine compartment. Is there a solution or part to divert the waters?

happy new year to all

the vent doesn’t cause issues as what I saw on a YouTube video. you can create a blocker if you’re worried

a small question, the replacement of the pneumatic cylinder is mandatory by those of the CS or can a single oem cylinder do the trick?

This poses no issues whatsoever.

"Mandatory" is a strong word. If you want the hood to close like normal and guarantee no damage to it while closing I'd recommend replacement of both hood struts and latch springs.

the translation of your message is not clear enough for me, are we talking about these 2 parts to be replaced?

- 51232462098

you have a part number for -> both hood struts

Translation?

All the numbers you need are in this thread, as well as all the best advice.

Replace both hood struts and both striker springs with OEM CS units.

Now that I've got my Suvneer hood test fitted > painted > fully installed > PPFed, I'll say that it's definitely been a process. But I'm happy with how it's turned out. In my opinion, the OEM CS hood remains the benchmark and I nearly went that route. In the end I didn’t, simply because spending $5k+ on a hood is a tough pill to swallow and frankly, I wasn't comfortable venturing into the ‘up badging’ grey area.

For ~$2500, all in, I believe this Suvneer GTS hood is the next best alternative. While it does push the envelope of being too aggressive, it suits the 'angry bulldog' characteristic of the car, in my opinion.

Fitment of the Suvneer hood is quite solid. I'd truthfully call it 9.5/10 vs the OEM hood's fitment. In fact, I'd go as far as saying it now sits with better panel gaps than my OEM hood did. But it certainly took a lot of adjustment to the alignment bolts on the hood, fenders and front bumper to get there.

The weight savings is also more substantial than I anticipated it would be.

That said, as mentioned earlier in this thread, the supplied vent insert is complete garbage. If you order this hood, do yourself a favor, take ///MPhatic's advice and order the OEM GTS hood vent at the same time. P/N: 41-61-8-068-158. It’ll save you a lot of wasted energy and frustration.

I'll get better pics once the snowy months are gone and she comes back out of hibernation.

Anyone try RWC's Aluminum GTS version? I thought I was sold until reading this thread where most people are going with Suvneer.

Seems like they probably all come from the same place anyway.

Yeah, it's the same. RWC is just charging more for it I think.

I need to adjust the front bumper slightly but I’m very satisfied with the suvneer hood overall. No water issues, I installed the oem CS/gts struts/springs

Yeah, makes sense. Thank you for all the added detail on this thread between the part numbers and everything you've all shared. It's super useful to grab pretty much everything without asking a ton of un-needed questions. All the hoods posted in this thread so far look really good.

Very nice.

What was your out the door price? Hood, struts, paint, installation, CS exhaust port, etc.?

It's on the "consider" list after I wear the Minister of War & Finance down-- but that's gonna be a while!

I got a nice discount by purchasing during Black Friday (20% off I believe) paint was an additional $1,200 but that was for my hood and trunk (carbon csl)

51-23-8-066-092
Gas Strut Hood $62.40 (2) $124.80

51-23-2-462-098 Lift Spring Hood Lock Lower Section $17.05 (2) $34.10
