Being in the ACT also, heaters are a really nice thing, and yes the mrs loves them. In saying that, I've had a few cars with recaros and they did not have heating but did have alcantara inserts which is by far better than leather as far as warmth is concerned.

CA is par for the course on almost all cars, standard, BMW wake up. If it was due to weight on the pure well why not have added a cf roof, that would have been the best. (And alcantara trimmed seats)

Hahaha but you were supporting CA above you d!ck! Btw given you now drive a purple car and a fire engine red car, i don't think you should call yourself Alpine.

Prodigy. sorry, don't know how I missed your comment! Yep, it was built first week of Feb...but I delayed my order to get the LCI (or possibly the CS depending on price). I'm a patient individual...I would also be annoyed to get my car then have the LCI drop a 2-3 months after with some nice changes.

Cool of you to remember though! Kudos for that.

Remember my 135i coupe track car? That was ordered with no option. I'm doing the same thing again but don't think I'll build this into a track car.

No, you can't get comfort access with the manual Pure.
For a mere $US600, you can get a retrofit kit from BimmerTech

Otherwise:

1. HK speakers are redundant as the road noise drowns out the quality of the audio noise;
2. The dynamic lighting is good, but unnecessary once the standard spread is set; and
3. Heated seats have been redundant during my ownership.
I'm 6'3" and I have to respectfully disagree with this. I also disagree with the comment about the HK speakers - they are sublime to my ear.

I do however agree about the lighting and heated seats.

Biggest annoyance for me is the speedo in bright light. Such bad design.

Overall an awesome car for me - as a weekend driver not a daily driver. I think as a daily it would get tiresome with >14l/100kms and ~300km range.

I use it as my daily driver and love it...

The main annoyance is the 280km range I get out of each tank.. My saving grace is I usually do 100-150km/ week so I only fill up every 10-14 days or so.. but previously I was filling up monthly in my previous car..

To be fair I only drive it in Sport+ and it is mainly to/from work on some Saturdays plus drive days... When taking it to work it is early starts (5:30am) in an industrial estate designed for B-doubles - I think you can work out the rest.

Probably as a daily driver I'd keep it in normal mode and it would be much better

Most of my driving is non-highway and I like letting my engine rev high. Thought t takes half a drive to work for the engine to get to "Ok" temp lol

I always drive in sport

Just placed an order for an M2 yesterday. Last build slot for my dealer this year so should get around October which means it will be an LCI.

Upgrading from my 328i. Wife just got an X5 so I don't need a practical car this time

A few of these are from a recent drive day, the others are my crappy phone photos. Loving the car, and strangely after the run in service the fuel consumption has dropped to 13.7l/100kms - despite two "spirited" drive days up the back of Marysville...
