The limited colors and single interior will probably reduce production costs quite a bit. I bet you don't see alot of add on packages with this car either. My guess is it will come with the larger screen with the higher end nav standard and maybe one big premium package like the other M's.

As someone who has followed this car with much interest, but little hope of purchasing one, I'm actually MORE interested now.
I was concerned this car would come in too close to M4 pricing and have to optioned up with lots of equipment to make it decent, but it looks as if they are keeping this car fairly basic and straightforward. I like that. I just want a small, nimble, fairly powerful BMW coupe. I don't need, nor can I afford, a 70K+ M4. The M235i just doesn't look aggressive enough for my tastes, and good as the 8AT is, it's not a replacement for a proper DCT. If this car comes in close to nicely equipped M235i pricing, I'll really consider one. |

It's all about the driving for people that choose what you disparagingly call a "poverty" model car. There is nothing wrong with luxury and leather and bells and whistles but for people that really enjoy the art of driving, especially on a racetrack, none of that stuff adds to the driving experience. On the track, light weight, grip and adequate power all all you need to have a blast. That's what it's all about. I'm not saying I wouldn't want an Aventador or 458 etc. Of course I would! But if I could only have one, I'd prefer to own the most raw, dedicated sports car that has a MANUAL transmission (yes, DCT shifts faster! I don't care!). That car is the Porsche 911GT3RS (997 version). That's the goal and props to anyone that has attained it. |

Ceramic brakes ? Go get them $$ True S motor Sure it's in there CF roof- already Led lights - standard. Want Oled. Coming right up.. $$ Water injection..? Step up to the gts $$ Let's NOT encourage porsche pricing on this car please. It should be just like the 1m. This is a true entry level m car and It should stay that way. |

If it turns out to be special i will maybe trade or add an m2 street car. At the moment though I would love to see the m2 come out and be followed up by something truly wild in an m2 GTS. Of course BMW AG will have to introduce an M4 gts first. Then let that die down before they would announce an m2 gts. Where is Scott 26 when u need him? Has he finished his tea ? |

Count the number of M cars that have ever been made with cloth as an option. Is the e36 the only one ? |

Even though the rumors were this will not be limited production - the limited color options and one interior choice hint that it might be.

Just liek this but with blue stitching instead of red? that would cool, stitching would match the brakes if they're blue like on the f8x
