This car will be great with more hp. 370hp will be quick, however just not enough... Likely BMW has left some potential on the table, time will tell just how much.

Very good idea. Give me then an M4 that is 25 cm shorter, with a better design and a normal exhaust sound and we have a deal.

it's like buying a book and the typing some extra pages to tack on 20 pages to the ending to fit what you wanted to happen....the deception may temporarily work but the actual book is still there.
I hear you...but this (to me) also falls into the "different strokes for different folks" category - just from the standpoint that many alternate viewpoints to the same situation will inevitably exist...

I feel this desire to modify is rooted in people not buying the right car to begin with....or getting influenced by forum communities.

Well there aren't enough 1Ms to go around to everyone, so keep enjoying your almighty car of perfection

I do not agree with this. Do you really believe all cars are perfect from the factory? Also, I would probably buy an M4 if it wasn't a giant coupe. I am left with minimal choices so I prefer the M2. Do people really think that 370 hp is too much? I've mentioned this before, my N54 135i was tuned with DPs and I was throwing down more power than the M2... The M2 will have far superior suspension, LSD, stability, and the ability to mount some thick rubber in the rear. There is no reason the M2 should not be able to handle more power. I probably would hold off on performance mods at the beginning, but I really hope the turbo is upgraded from the M235i so I could have the option of generating more power in the future. After a year or two when I inevitably start looking at other cars, I can opt to tune and it will be like a brand new car.

I mod my cars because it's fun, simple as that
I like tweaking the way they look, sound and drive. Out of the factory, a car cannot be everything to everyone, so I make it my own

Agreed. One would have to be pretty obtuse not to understand this.

There's an old adage with Ducati Monster that you purchase the bike brand new knowing that it isn't yet "finished". that's because there is a desire to take something and make it your own - changing as much or as little as you want.

That's all it is my man - different strokes for different folks...

As some forum fellow said: "Modding: you're only done when you sell the car."

You can always use more horsepower! I have modded every car I have owned for 30 years.
I personally think it's fun to see what a car can do..and modding it to your liking personalizes it

Ac shnitzer and Stienbauer are both claiming 50-60bhp with a piggy back and nothing else, so there is your answer to extra power.
