I really want to get this system too, but I think I'll have to wait until next year's black friday.

The Remus Sport Exhaust is a custom order from Europe since it was made for E.U. vehicles because of the strict regulations there (and maybe OPF vehicles). The Remus Race Exhaust is the exhaust designed for the U.S. market. You can order a Remus Sport Exhaust but it is a special order. Remus November deals are only for stocked items (Remus Race Exhaust) and not special order items. I recently found this out 2 days ago. One Remus vendor did not even know about the Sport Exhaust and kept on telling me only the Race Exhaust was available. Upon further investigation and calling Remus he said he can order the Sport Exhaust but its a custom order directly from Europe and no discount applies.

This is sounding like the combo to get. Since on your setup the downpipe cats are intact, I'm wondering if the exhaust smells like gas? Also I wonder when the car needs to have smog certification in about 4 years if it would pass with just the front cats?

No gas smell at all. Just for comparison, the shop that installed my exhaust has an OG M2 with catless downpipes and Dinan exhaust. I just wanted to hear it when I was getting my exhaust installed. As soon as they started their M2, I could immediately smell the gas. It wasn't excessive but noticeable IMO. Mine has zero smell. I'm not worried about the inspection yet since I don't even know if I'll still have the car in 4 years In any case, it may fail the visual inspection due to missing secondary cats.

The gas smell would be a bummer. I'm glad the front cats mostly take care of it. I was on a canyon carving run with some other M2s a few weeks ago. I was hot on the tail of a catless car and the gas fumes were really bad since my windows were down.

Fully cat-less smells, unless your running E85. Then it just smells like corn

cntzl Just wondering what you imagine a Race exhaust with stock mid-pipe setup would be like and if you think it would have still have been too loud for you? Or if you’d still prefer the Sport exhaust with stock mid-pipes over that setup?
