A marketing person is going to tell you to get their product, you know that. Furthermore, you don't need a marketing person to tell you, a grown adult to get a certain model, especially if you already put that deposit down.
I think he got the point, lets relax a little bit

I have only seen it , not driven it.
If it drives as well as it looks then I don't foresee any issues on it not selling.

Scott, I think he was referring to what it's availability will be like, as it seems some people are starting to think it may be limited production like the 1M.

Yes that's what I was trying to say I had quoted about how he had told people to buy 1er for that reason, flame suit on this time though.

Still very anxious to see this car finally and to hear final specs and details about price. I KNOW this is a better car overall than the GT350. I just keep getting lured over to the mustang forum.

Just cant wait to see reviews and what not. Im in a really odd spot for me as well as Im #1 at my dealer which is super weird for me, but kinda cool as well. Especially if this thing ends up being as limited/special as seems like it could be.

You know? The GT350 has a bespoked 5.2 liter flat crank V8, boasting well over 500 hp. Among other things. If the current 5.0 had the e92 M3 times benchmarked, what do you think the GT350 is going after? This is trying to better the M3/M4 for lesser money. So, that probably would mean that overall, it is a better car than the M2---minus the luxury goods.
Think about this. The GT350 has a bespoked engine, one could say that the M3/M4 doesn't have that. And damn straight the M2 doesn't.

We don't know. We don't know much of anything right now.

You can't "know" that its a "better" car. The M2 may be better at some things. But the GT350 will DEFINITELY be better in others. Two different animals.

I meant it will be a better DD. The GT350 will be faster in every possible way.

Refinement and perhaps steering feel and chassis feedback is where the mustang will lack. But really like you guys say, we know nothing right now about either car really.

So maybe a little nugget for the weekend????

What colour was the elusive M2 shown behind the scenes in Geneva

Also can you clarify that it will be getting the M-DCT and not just the ZF8?

No, it's definitely getting the DCT, I'm pretty sure this has been confirmed already.

It was confirmed by the guy in Boston (I think?) who seems to have inside scoops on a lot of things (forget his screen name, starts with a y if I remember correctly) - I had made a list in one of our gazillion threads on this topic and he definitely confirmed the DCT.

Most of the other things that I care about (CF roof, LEDs) were not confirmed.

That's ok then, I must have missed the confirmation, the 8ZF is good in my M135i but i want the real deal next time, if it was like the M235i racing with the 8ZF it would be the end for me personally.

Damn guys, slow down. M-DCT has been confirmed already, I wouldn't worry about that.

Let's not take everything we all say so literally. I know we all want to see the car and are going a little crazy.

There's another thread, it was on the 2er forum - I am sure it was on here because I made the initial list and he bolded those items that he knew were coming.

DCT was one of the few that was confirmed - I will see if I can find it.

The all-new Porsche GT3 RS doesn't get a CF roof either. No, Porsche developed a magnesium roof for that one in order to reduce the car's weight and center of gravity. Well, it saves just 1kg over a much less costly CF version, but Porsche considers that it's worth it.

Regarding the Cayman GT4 weight, Porsche also pulled a smart trick. Stock it gets a 54-litre fuel tank. But a 64-litre tank is a free of charge option (option #085). Don't know whether it impacts cargo space, but if it ain't, then only few customers will decide to keep the stock fuel tank. But hey, for the official GT4 weight figure, that's the equivalent of 10 litre fuel less in the specifications.
