Not that I am in the market for one but Mazdas are pretty decent looking cars.

One thing I'm hoping is not correct about the render is all the space on the bumper above the fangs (see yellow arrow below). Looks very awkward and makes the intakes look decidedly smaller than on the M235i. The sketch Scott posted shows a different story, while still incorporating the fangs.

Ha, someone apparently got 'inspired' by the BMW Vision Gran Turismo (GT6).

how much of the BMW VISION GT has been incorporated into the render? i remember reading that scott said that its a good indicator of things to come... i would assume that if you remove the excessive vents on the rear and other areas youd have a good guess.....

My intuition tells me that the M2 front bumper will follow very similar cues to that of the M3/M4 front bumper. You don't know how much Styrofoam (or whatever they use) is stuffed on the mule's camouflaged front bumper right now to make everyone go bonkers with what we "think" it will look like.

Go back to that orange M2 render...I would be surprised if the production is far off from that.

Everything you said here is counter to the clues that SCOTT26 has been dropping. The M2 front aero will be distinct from the M3/4 aero. Have a look at the Vision GT renders for clues.

My god, if it's genuinely close to the GT concept, it's a home run sell out I think.

Look at all the BMW spy cars before. The camo either covers a feature completely, or it doesn't. There's no add fake foam strips to the bumpers. That's not how it works

Agreed - I wish we would know the final specs now - at least then we would have something worthwhile to debate.

On a related note, I was lucky enough to be behind BOTH an E46 and E92 M3 last night - I don't know if I had ever seen two on the road, right next to each other. My god did both of them look good - the styling is different between the two, but neither one looked their respective age.

Hoping BMW gets it "right" with the M2...

I really dislike calling it a "baby" M-car. How about instead of "baby", as if smaller is something just cutesy and not to be taken seriously, we call it "the M-car that isn't bloated and swollen to ridiculous proportions"?

I like thinking of the M2 as a really buff dwarf.

Here's to hoping that the M2 will be smokin' hot (and not some lukewarm bean counters compromise).

Let me repost the Q4 2015 gimmick.

The rest are huge that's why I referred to it that way. And it will be the little smartass one in the family so I kinda like that as well.

Cool if Frankfurt, this is Sep 15 right?

1530kg is the exact weight if the manual M235i so surely we expect it to considerably better this rather than be the limit?
