Yup! BSM always looks dirty even when clean. Jet black would've been ftw!

I kind of like it in black. It hides some of the dramatic features of the body, so it looks understated. However, it also makes some of the busier styling treatments - like the front bumper - looks smoother and more subtle. LBB is still my favorite, though.

With LBB as the launch color, I suspect Detroit will get another LBB on display. There seem to be press review cars running around that we may see in February

Dear BMW,

Please stop "leaking" M2 pictures with those wheels. You're killing it for me

100% chance of that happening.. and you can bet that 90% of the press cars will be LBB also

Winter (snow rated) tires are sorta required in Germany.. and. it's that time of year..

I know that if you pickup a vehicle on ED.. then you will get a winter set of wheels installed..

Dunno about you.. but riding on 19s when it could snow will DEFINITELY make you switch to 18s.. so... don't blame the rain.. er.. snow

There are plenty of 19" winter options. BMW should know better than to prioritize function over looks.

none of that matters when you can walk out into your GARAGE and see it.

And believe you me... when you see a 1M from the rear in black.. it's like
I am pretty sure the M2 as well. plus it's the classiest looking color of them all.

this could (should) be you... see the video at 3:25

I thought in recent years BMW no longer forced you to get winter wheels before leaving the Welt. This could change at any time, but to my understanding, they switched it back a few years ago to make it an option. They certainly don't recommend it, but they understand that some people may not even be travelling far. Some just take their winter sled directly to Loginout.

Germany no longer requires you to ride on winter wheels, unlike Austria I believe, but if you get into an accident causing property damage, you can be fined/thrown in jail for not having the proper tires fitted.

Looks awesome. Less ostentatious than the M3,4 etc... Those wheels are spectacularly boring though!! Small Ford Focus wheels!!

That is basically saying: you need them.

It's same as saying it's ok to run a red light, just make sure you're not caught.

Not really. Germany's law as it was explained to me is such that if the weather requires snow tires and you cause an accident without snow tires on, you're going to be in trouble. But if it's December 15, 40 degrees, sunny and no form of precipitation on the ground, you do not need to drive on winter tires. While it does get pretty bad in Bavaria during the winter months, there are times when snow tires are not entirely necessary. Summers will work all the way down to 35 degrees, I think. After that the rubber compound is compromised.

This is in contrast with some other countries which require you to be on winters regardless of conditions between certain dates.

I don't name my cars.
The black M2 in the picture , by the license plate, was running around about a year ago as a disguised mule. Mules, as I understand from Scott26, are eventually crushed.
Yorick was a character in a Shakespeare play.
Don't ask me to explain it further because I was drinking at the time I wrote the post

These wheels are just on the M2. They'd be better suited on a standard car like the M235 or 340.

They are winter test & tune wheels only, get over it.
