is there a reason to get the pure inlet vs say the mst v2 or similar? I have the ftp v2 that fits and was made for ps2’s and the like….Just wondering if the new pure 750 inlet is thst much better….thanks

The inlet alone is like $300….Been researching on running an intake similar to what the full frame guys run..lurking on spul skreet

I know the MST V2 is the biggest, but otherwise they are all basically the same.

Yeah so I found a couple other PN's from the B58/S55 that I'm going to try tomorrow. Not sure why but it appears that realoem and bmw's own dealer ETK is literally incorrect. The PN's I'm trying tomorrow are 07129903804 (m6x10mm) and 07129905867 (m6x12mm). Hopefully one of these is the right one lol

Wait, so to clarify, you're saying that the longer bolts go (1) onto the turbo side coolant hoses and (2) onto the block-side oil return line? The rest are all the shorter variant?

The longer bolts wouldn’t screw in all the way, the shorter one does,
So you can use the shorter one for the single lines on the turbo, the longer one for the 2 lines.

Is it the biggest? I have it in a box and installed my CTS inlet instead because they looked identical in size when I held them side by side, if anything the cts looked bigger

Do you have pictures? As far as I heard, the CTS was a copy of the MST, and was larger than the Pure and FTP.

FTP's inlet wasn't that large because they reuse the stock inlet rubber gasket thing.

Does anyone have measurements for these inlets?

Yup just confirmed that it was an m6 x 12mm bolt so it looks like the BMW ETK was wrong - thanks for the help!

Pure and MST were tested and MST was better:

Pure replied to my email..

“Hey Vic, its about 3" on the intake side and 3 1/4" on the turbo side”

This appears significantly larger than other offerings. Arent they about 2.25” at the largest after reading Rays links. Turbo inley size, not tubing size..

Are they giving you an inner or outer diameter?

I have to assume the tubing diameter. Asked a more specific question and pointed them to this thread. Hopefully they(pure) chimes in or provides the specifics.

And…i may have just stumbled onto an interesting development..(not a good one).::awaiting pure’s response..But it appears as though there is a difference between a pure750 ordered with an inlet and one without..

Its true…

just talked with Ryan at pure. There’s the inlet that comes with the pure750 when ordering and the inlet they sell outright…they machine the turbo inlet side larger when you order the turbo+inlet together.

If you don’t order the inlet they leave it about stock size to fit regular inlet tubes. Which is fing tarded cause anyone buying this turbo would opt for highest flow available…

Getting an email verification with measurements of this inlet they have for a turbo like mine soon…

Here you go;

There’s a difference(1/4”) & doesn’t appear the “stockish” one is all that different than current offerings. So, if you order a pure750..order the outlet with the turbo and verify you’re getting the big one.

Wow, you’d think a this would be a cruital part of the marketing for this turbo.
Shuenk is quite vocal about their inlet being proprietary to the N55+ and F55.

Marketing and product info for Pure500 and Pure750 definitely leave room for improvement.

The 2 x longer bolts are for coolant lines. The 4 x shorter bolts are for oil lines. It’s nice and easy if you think of it like that.

Shuenk seem to be posting pump gas info last few days, almost like they're reading this thread.

These turbo manufacturers should be striving toward turnkey information for installs as much as possible. It's staggering.
Almost as reluctant as McDonald's to list caloric content of their food!
