Suggestion on car shipping; cross country carrier
Hope this is the correct forum -
Looking for member suggestions on companies used in the past for shipping a purchased (running) vehicle from one location to another. I purchased an M2C in California, and am looking to ship it to Louisiana. So far I've priced out Montway Auto and will continue to look around, just hoping for some recommendations. Thanks. |

Reliable Carriers.
They do the shipping for Barrett Jackson.

If you're doing Enclosed, go with @I_Shipanycar on instagram. Eric is a great guy, and he got my car from California to PA in 3 days with a dual driver.

Another vote for Reliable. Most of the OEM and Tier 1s use them.
They use enclosed, specialized vehicle carrier trucks.

I have transported a fair amount of vehicles. I would only go with enclosed transport, unless you do not care if the car is damaged. Two of the best are Intercity Lines and Reliable. I have used some others also, but more out of timing then cost.

agree with these choices. Definitely enclosed and ask for the car to be on top so no oil leaks onto the roof during the travel. Worth paying a bit more so that you have peace of mind they will deliver it 'new.'

Haha, my car was the least expensive on the truck. They put car covers on all the cars. A Bentley was above mine. If your a Rennlist member you can get a discount. (InterCiity)

Another vote for reliable. They shipped my M2 from DC to San Diego 2 months ago and it was professional and smooth the whole way.

Also going to ship my M2, I google and find movewheels, they give really low price, have you ever tried them or heard about them? Cos I saw that they have bad reviews and it makes me nervous

I would do either Intercity or Reliable. Depends on the ship route too.
Reliable has more routes. Intercity doesn't cut the run straight south to north in the middle of the country, since they're based in MA and primarily run east to west through either location. I inquired about getting my car shipping from a BMW dealership in MS to IL. Intercity won't do it. Reliable will. |

Currently new to this whole out of state car purchase, but it seems to give the best results. Is my understanding correct in that BMW can only deliver the car to the Performance Center in SC outside of the dealership you purchased from? I am doing opposite and going from east coast to CA. What is the typical cost range for shipping vehicles enclosed?

Can't state any better than this. Reliant and Intercity are the gold standard.

I just went through the car buying process myself last month. It took me ages to choose a shipping company, but after a lot of back-and-forth, everything fell into place smoothly. Finding the right price and options was key for me, but I was lucky enough to find how to ship my car cheaper on https://www.a1autotransport.com/what...cross-country/. Everything went smooth!
