I wouldn't put them on, but the black side graphics are slimming. They help make the M2 look more sleek and less stubby to my eye.

Not even close to avalanche gray. Avalanche gray has no metallic in it and looks great compared to this HS silver abomination of a color. Avalanche gray always looks the same no matter how you look at it.

But I think, similar to BSM for example, that the M = metallic.

Your mouth is watering over a 2-series? The smallest, simplest interior design by any BMW M car in manufacturing currently....
Understand this: a 1-series isn't nicer than a 3, a 3 isn't nicer than a 5, and a 5 isn't nicer than a 7. What it breaks down to is interior design quality in unison with sizing. The M2 would be at the very bottom of that list. An M6 (or the new F90 M5) would be at the very top.
There are levels to this, and there are also prices.
I suppose it still has a manual parking brake, so there's that
We get it. You like big ass boat cars with fancy interiors and gadgets. Most here are sport car enthusiasts who actually prefer a smaller ride for reasons beyond your comprehension. The mainstream car market is definitely catered to people like you. However, we are not the mainstream.

There is a reason media like EVO, Motor Trend, Road and Track, Car and Driver and journalists like Chris Harris are a lot more enthused about cars like the M2 Competition than the latest 7 series.... because they are people like us.

And by the way, many here can afford a top-of-the line new 5 series or even M5 if they wanted. But the M2 Comp is calling to them instead... for reasons you may not get.

Hold your horses. Don't tell anyone on the F80/82 forum that. They think the ZCP/Comp Pack is a new car! :

Well then they might want to wait for a package that includes new body work that changes the look, a new way to interact with the throttle, transmission, steering, and traction, and a new engine, as well as the regular run if the mill basic pleb package that often include suspension, seats, exhaust tips, and wheels.

Am I in the minority in that I don't like the rims?

Feel like it needed something with less spokes, or something concave. Granted I recognize that they are comparable to the F8x zcp rims (which isn't really a good thing...)

well said!
I drove the M5, its as I said in another post, Glorious! I could buy one but probably won't. My CA is trying real hard to sell me an M5 and the matching X5M for the little lady. The M5 is fast! It's fancy! It makes me feel like a "grown-up"... which is why I don't want an M5 or M6 or any other LARGE car! I'm in my 30's, I don't want to grow up yet! I like small, quick, and most important, toss-able! BTW, fun has no age limit! The less interior luxury buttons the better! They just get in the way of the stick shift anyways!
BM dnobagaV we all have different tastes, luckily BMW makes a car for almost all of us. Come by sometime, I will show/sell you a few bottles of wine that I've collected (they are expensive and have pretty labels, so you will probably like them)
p.s. the most expensive bottle of wine I've ever had... tasted like shit! almost literally

They may need to be seen in person. The concavity of 666M is not well shown in photos. Many spoke designs like this are almost less aggressive looking than 5-spokes. It seems like they are just an attempt to reinvent the popular E46 M3 ZCP wheels yet again. That worked so well on E46 and E92 because the stock wheels were terribly boring IMO.

I cant decide if I like them or not, I am leaning towards "not"
I like them better today than I did upon seeing first picture, but...
Good set of replacement rims @ $2k? I can like one of the optional rims for an extra 2$k worth of replacement tires

Have they definitively release a color list yet? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
