You guys are deep into this, and I've enjoyed following along the rumors and speculation these last few months, though at times I've lost track on a few of the details. Hence a question. I've got a deposit on a 2019 M2... is the prevailing theory that this competition model will replace the base model entirely (with no option for a base)?

Yes, it will be the new base model going forward.

It is really a video that I have had for some time now but was asked not to put it up completely so cropped it a bit. If you saw the picture from the M2 CS thread you know a little more.

If I remember correctly, the center part is a bit more fused together.

The picture quality is really crappy but someone posted this pic on 2ertalk.de of the M2 Competition front kidney grille.It is supposed to be a real picture and not photoshopped.
