Just bought one of these kits. Looks like they're available for the m3 and m4 as well as other non M models as well. Product shipped super fast and arrived as described, highly recommended especially at such a reasonable price.
Nobody posted a link so I will. This is the product page http://jrc-designs.com/products/ |

the JRC kit is %50 off now. Id grab a set while they're available, can't really go wrong for $15. I didn't know aftermarket parts existed that cheap for these cars! I posted the link a posts up

Had the same question. He told me "our kit will fit on the stock exhaust systems (including the performance exhaust), as well as aftermarket systems as long as they use the factory valve motor." That was about my m3 but I'm sure the same applies

For MPE you need to buy the M3/4 kit with two of the male and female ends as MPE has 2 valves

I installed mine several months back and removed it a month later and threw it away. The flap is normally only closed when in Comfort mode so that's the only time it helps. However it will throw a code and a cel if you leave it in Comfort mode. You have to manually reset the code. I used Carly. Waste of $15.

This may be a stupid question, but isn't the MPE just a muffler bypass? Therefore wouldn't this theoretically sound the same? I could be way off.

Ask and you shall receive.
Here are part numbers for the items you need to close off the actuator and prevent codes: Universal socket housing uncoded This is the connector that goes into the exhaust flap actuator to protect it from corrosion. This part number doesn't include the cavity plugs. I'm trying to find a part number for the cavity plugs, but you could use silicon caulking. Dummy flap actuator This is the dummy plug that is connected to the wiring harness to prevent a code. This connector has a resistor across pins 1 & 3. Here is info from TIS on the exhaust flap: Electrical exhaust flap |
