No idea on the offsets to be honest, I never really bothered to check. Let me see if I can find out though. |

Cars always look like shit in the winter, I see no need to try to keep up appearances when it's gonna be caked in salt and filth anyway.
Plus, for me, form follows function all day long.

I have some left over 225/40r18 Blizzaks from my last BMW. If I got some 18x8 or 18x8.5 would they work? I'd prefer to not have to buy wheels and tires this year as I didn't plan ahead haha.

I just did a set of 18x9 ET 40 wheels front and rear - aka square - with winter sport performance tires - Michelin PA4s in 245/40-18s all around. Clearance is tight at the front but there is no rubbing.

For those who’ve done both 18” and 19”, How much of a winter performance hit will I take using a 19” winter setup vs 18”? By performance I’m talking maintaining traction in wet/snow conditions. But usually nothing insane (live in Philadelphia area)

But it depends on how often your car will see snow - if you mostly avoid it, 19's would be fine. If you're like me and drive in 10+ inches of the white stuff, 18's are the only way to go. |

rubber will be cheaper and more available in 18" too.
In 19" all you can really find is "performance winter" tires which aren't as good in snow as a "Snow and ice" tire.

Even with the winter shoes on the car, it's still a hoot! Running 245/40R18 Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D's on BBS XA rims and had a little fun with a new Camaro SS. I thought those cars were supposed to be fast? I have snows, he had regular summer performance tires. Good thing they are rated to 149. LOL......

I'm running an 18" square setup on Michelin PA4's. Have yet to see my first snow.

What tire pressures do you keep those PA4s at?

I run my square PA4 245/40/18s at 35 psi front and rear. That way when temps drop 15-20 degrees the pressures only go down to around 33 so I don't need to add air.
