I would have to think everyone who's buying an M2 cares about the interior, it just isn't the deciding factor so they're willing to compromise because of the overall package that the M2 offers.

Obviously interior quality isn't the number 1 priority for a driver's car such as this but if you say you don't care about the interior I have to assume you're lying.

As supralex mentioned, a little upgrade is always a welcome change, too. I have a 2018 M2 on order and I think it's worth the wait for the updates they've made (especially the LED headlights).

I believe this is the real truth for most everybody. I must admit I drool when I look at the M4 CS seats. Wonder if they would fit ? I could sell my house and get a set :-]

I have to laugh about all the complaints about the interior. Do M3 owners point to the interior of the M6 and complain how cheap the M3 interior is? Could the M2 interior be more luxurious? Sure, but I'd rather have the money go to other things that affect how the car drives.

You don't understand how much their sensitive asses need softer leather to avoid diaper rash looking symptoms.

I like the M2's interior as well as the other M cars. I'm I alone?

It's not free. The LCI costs more and you had to wait and I am going to assume people's time is not free. If people are waiting for cosmetic upgrades and willing to pay more, then M2 buyers appear to care enough about cosmetics to wait many months and open their wallets. Hmmm maybe they shouldn't have bought an M2 at all if they care so much looks?

They care enough to wait 6+ months and pay more, but not as much as someone who bough pre LCI but complained on a forum?

I like the updates enough to justify the additional cost. The model year alone is worth more than whatever price hike turns out to be.

That said, imo, the tail lights are a big improvement as is the interior.

All

I have a 2016 m2. I hated the DCT, having driven manual for over 20 years but, now I love thee DCT it amazing, short shift, corner shift and lazy days, it has it all.

The LCI, its awesome, the interior the lights the navigation, it's all better but, the drive is all the same, no change, no power and no chassis stiffening, no evidence of re-map it's the same car. It's the same car I bought and love thrashing because it's so balanced and precise, its the same car I never use sat navigation in or only ever use 5% of the total drive time sat navigation not much use nowerdays, Google Is better!

So, sorry I rambled. I think everyone who is hitching about the LCI or holding off does not care about the drive, I think you care about resale and money, if that's the case stop fucking asking should I wait for LCI.... Of course u should, the resale will be better all day long, was you born stupid! I would love to have the LCI, as a bonus, but love my car and I have the 16, it's ace, it's fast fun and I'm loving having it and I can afford to own it. The life of a car is thee same lines as all cars, buy it lose 40% the first fe years, dtive it, love it, new one comes out, hate it sell it, by new!

Just order your car and be fine with it..

The interior improvements are so slight you need a brochure photo to point them out. The black dials are the only noticeable one.

Also, the theory that a MY is worth more in and of itself is questionable... and to quantify it to being equal to the price hike even more so. The physical changes might have resale value... not the model year to any significant degree in and of itself.

No it's not because it cost more, and in 3 / 4 year time it will balance out, give or take 1k

it will take more than 3-4 years to balance out

ultimately it depends on the time you expect to own the car beyond 4 years

that said, the improvements alone are worth to me...

it is not reasonable to expect the same pricing on a used 2017 and 2018 MY with relative miles, options and condition.

the interior improvements are far more than dials... anyone can see that. the new interior looks more cohesive.

MY has a projected $2-3k value (conservatively) within a 3-5 year window. MY value is evident given the price hike of $1,100 including exc pack.

Hey another point, may have been covered, but the service interval has now been changed, every 10k or 1 years rather than 15k or 2 years

Thanks.

As we knew the back up camera is mandatory for 2018 and is no longer part of Exec Pk. The total price of the car went up $1,000 which includes the mandatory camera as standard.

Metallic paint went down by $150.

Exec up by $100 which now includes LEDs.

A fully optioned metallic paint car (minus sunroof) is $950 more than its predecessor and this includes LEDs. Not bad...

I thought headlights are already LEDs with the current M2. Which LED do you mean? and What's the change?
