Chin breaks down to about $93/hr of track time, which is cheaper than most...plus they run a great event with very experienced coaches and drivers.

I am looking to do one of the driving schools soon, although this weekend doesn't work for me. Keep us posted on how you like the school!
(I am also signed up for Homestead 5/13) |

I started the track hobby almost 10 years ago and now instruct for several different HPDE groups as well as endurance racing and time trials .My initial advise is to go to a real " driving school" like Skip Barber or Bob Boundrant. You can attend Chin and other DE events as a novice with instructor as a part of your initial training. While the track events are great fun and cost effective, the real driving schools are much better for instruction.

I was just writing a whole post on this on another thread. Honestly I think one can always learn, even as an experienced guy, from a good track school with solid instructors. Also pretty sure Chin has a proper school in addition to track days, could be wrong though. |

would love to stop by and check out the set up on your car, but they don't give you much free time in green, with the schedule they run and the classes and necessary fuel run @ lunch. what are you calling the overhang? the day looks relatively light, i will probably get a garage in the cold pits. will see what my neighbor will do as he trailers his car, guess the red guys have to run on non-DOT tires....
