By not having a production number yet, MY17 is what I'm personally getting (expected). Getting a production number in July (start of MY17) doesn't guarantee a 2016 calendar year production date but it does guarantee a MY17 car. Allocations are based on MY and not calendar year. No one knows if all of the 2016 calendar year production slots are taken up yet (which it sounds like they aren't per my next sentence). Whenever the production might happen is ultimately up to BMW. It sounds like only production for May and June was handed out so far (MY16) per Driver37s earlier post (http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...9&postcount=18). |

I am about to leave the office.
I will leave you guys with this info. Mind you some regional info may be a bit off by a few cars. Here is what I mean. My dealership is showing 2 M2's incoming. However we actually have 3. One is already presold to a client taking PCD. But back to the stats Roughly 424 M2's in the states. Eastern - 110 Southern - 107 West - 129 Central - 78 Congrats to those who have already taken delivery. Keep Hope alive to those who will get a MY16! And those who will have MY17 no worries! Your time will come and we will all be enjoying the cars soon enough. I placed my order on in 2014. We have all had to wait! |

If your dealership got 0 allocations for customer cars, it's unlikely they have significant M sales. What are hey going to tell you "no we don't sell a lot of m cars"?

Does your internal system let you find a specific car available? I am trying to find an HEA with my specific build, called multiple dealers and only found 2, but over MSRP.

Everything else you are requesting is too complicated. The reason I say that is when I search a vehicle majority of the time the vehicle is tagged as "Customer sold". Meaning one of two things. 1.) The vehicle is actually sold (which it probably is due to the high demand for the vehicle) 2.) The dealer has marked it as sold so no other dealership can request it as a dealer trade. |

BMW Seattle update
BMW Seattle received their HEA car this week. LBB + DCT + Exec. + all of the carbon fiber MPE bits. Very pretty in person.
I'm #2 on their list, so stopped by to see the car and ask about allocations. They already have their first customer allocation and it's going to #1 on the list as a MY '16 car when built. There is some uncertainty about the second customer allocation, because like many others they're hearing that it may be pushed to a MY '17 vehicle, with a build date in July and delivery in late August or September. So, we'll see if they get another MY '16 allocation or if everything else gets pushed to '17. I suspect most dealers are in a similar situation. Let the waiting continue... Gotta say, though, that car is pretty incredible. I was very gentle on the test drive but you can tell it just begs to be driven. Everything I hoped it would be. |

I can only see what BMW has allocated for dealers currently. Can't see order bank or future allocations. |

Some things I have noticed... DC dealers are not really getting many allocations. SOME West Coast dealers looked to have 1 HEA car (I am saying its an HEA car because of production status or it is in inventory) and got 2 allocations. Southern and Central states mostly got 1. I have to get back to work though. Feel free to send a message and I will get back to you. |

My dealer will not get its HEA car for 6 more weeks! This is real hit or miss as far as allocations are concerned. Is this based on prior M sales, politics or what?

sad that they have to treat it like this, but to them knowledge here is power. They can't keep cars marked up long if people know tons of allocations are about to start flowing in the calendar year.
