Seriously , all I have seen are sketches , studies and schematics for the M2 I have not seen a finished production model more of work in progress. But I have seen two specific sketches that either portray one car or indeed further progress. So I have seen Carbon roofs in these sketches but I cannot confirm if one will be used or indeed optional. A Carbon roof has been developed for the 2er so it is feasible. Those sketches retain the visual look of the Vision GT but as I have mentioned numerous times before brought into more realistic (for the road) purpose so what you have to do is look at the Vision GT and mentally make it more realistic by shrinking areas , pushing elements into the body etc. and then you get your M2. Surprising this has been overlooked even though it has been available.

Yup you should/could get pulled by the cops. Lots of US guys plasticoat them so you can peel it off at times etc. Odd how some cars i.e E82 don't have them separate though.

e82 didn't have reflectors at all.
Scott Thanks for that gem of a snippet there. Also feel the info provided hasn't been put to the best of use but my skill is well below any of the talents producing the renderings we have so I keep my hat doffed to these chaps and their work. The carbon roof though, I sincerely hope we see it, even if it is indeed a cost option (which it hopefully isn't but we are talking about a "base" model ///M) 3rd row front bumper is pure porn, and the bootlid is giving me absolute hope for a bespoke boot for this car, perhaps some cfrp!? Also I see potential vents high up on the bonnet. If that is indeed on the cards, then maybe just maybe we will see a power dome of sorts. |

Another thing I noticed when looking at X6M spy pics is, that the camo over the vents seems to be similar to the camo used on the M2..
Although the bottem part of the vents is exposed in this pic, can you guys see it too? |

Yup, I thought the same. That's from my capture I posted within the Vision GT video when it was released a little while back.

With regards to the X6M not having camo all the way down, the M2 seems to be sporting a one piece built in diffuser of sorts that carries on the underneath of the rear bumper between the exhausts.
This will be the reason for it being camo'd. |

lol... I was thinking the same thing. Some veeeery sharp and insightful analysis going on in these threads. I am loving how more and more design cues from the GT6 concept are getting spotted; I am getting very optimistic that this thing is going to look awesome.

Then Artemis and Alex would do their fancy edits and the visible text "Corn Flakes" through the camo would give the game away |

It was from about 4:20 in I saw those sketches initially and captured a freeze frame and planted in one of the early render posts.

The second car on that image if we remove the vent which is not necessary is a good place to start. In regards to another question. The M2 again borrows the widened track of the M4 so it allows slightly defined rear arches but not as much, as the 2er already has a wide track as does the standard 4er.

As this thread took quite a turn, I compiled some of the GT6 findings in a dedicated thread:
http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showt...php?p=17340548 Feel free to comment over there if related to the GT6 design cues.

Sry for being somewhat off topic here, but are we getting any benefits for doing the ED in Canada? I know the US has a lower price for starters
