My 2017 M2 is in the airbag recall
Just checked the BMW airbag recall site and yes it is faulty.
Booked in for the one hour fix later this month. It does say no immediate danger and book it in after December 2018 but my dealer said they have the parts so they will fix it ASAP. |

Chances are slim that its actually defective but since the TATA disaster and the financial fallout from that manufacturers are being extra careful. I am sure that is the case here, if the dealer has the parts not really a big deal. I drove my e90 for 18 months under recall but lacking parts to fix it. Wasn't terribly concerned but some of the Honda related failures have been terrible (but very rare) so I didn't haul any passengers during the last months I had the car just to be safe.
