Right on. I usually park up left of the garage by the guard rail. Probably be near an E46 M3 with a big white trailer. I'm sure I'll see ya around, dont tend to see many M2s there.

I have a blue one too, shouldn't be hard spot. I am going to try to snag a spot at the far end under the tree. Wonder if I should sign up for Friday too. I was planning another track weekend this year but I don't think that's going to happen.

For the extra money it's worth it IMO. more track time, less people on the track. Etc |

FYI, for anyone thinking of attending. BMWCCA has mandated no in car instruction for all club events nationwide. They'll be doing lead/follow for beginner and intermediate classes with small groups. They've done this at a couple other events and it worked out well.
Advanced and instructors will obviously be solo. Should be a great event with some great people to social distance with. |

Hey all, this track is 6.5 hours from me. Pretty far but I've heard great things about it. On the fence here at the last minute it seems. Just taking delivery of LCI this week and seeing an opening in my schedule these same dates. Would be a great first road trip. Would have my girlfriend in tow, not all bad, she seems like a gear head and excited about the car. And also provides a good excuse to stay somewhere nice.
Any suggestions? |

The Motorcity BMWCCA group is a great group of people. Just a ton of car folks that love to talk shop. Not elitist attitudes to be found. Your girlfriend is also most welcome. My fiance comes on occasion and she spends plenty of time chatting with others around the track. I will say, it may be worth while to get yourself a set of track pads and have your brake fluid flushed with some RBF600 (or some other race fluid). There's some heavy brake zones at grattan and can be pretty abusive on stock pads. You'll have to get a tech inspection before you go anyways, so that would be a good time to have them flush the brake fluid (also required within 6 months of track day) Feel free to shoot me a message if you have any questions. Can also give you a hand swapping out your brakes at the track if you need, it's pretty easy |

Awesome. Chatted with kevin last night. Looking good to come but would be a Saturday only. Just bought the car and is getting loaded onto transport today so i am scrambling logistics and definitely want to get some track pads and fluid change in first. I've turned a lot of bolts on BMW but i have very little real world experience with M2 and none under the hood yet.
I watched a few of your videos, the track looks really nice and perfect for a first go round with the new whip. Unless the weather turns to crap i should be there. I'll keep you posted! Quote:

I'll be there all weekend. Driving in Thursday evening. I usually park to the left of the garages when you get into the upper paddock area. It is indeed the prefect track to stretch the legs of the M2. Even if it rains, the wet line can be a ton of fun as well. Just gotta keep traction control on. : |

Looks like we have 3 M2s confirmed so far. Hoping for a few more. I almost never see them at grattan events |

My track wheels have them permanently taped down. I always bring some aluminum tape to the track if you need some. |

I have bimmerworld forged wheels, they just got balanced today on new michelins. New rotors, pagids, and moto 600 fluid. I’m scrambling to get my harnesses installed and collect some tools. I’m gonna be too far from home to push hard in a new car, so shouldn’t need much except gas money. Thanks for the tape offer and such, will you have an air tank? I can pack a small compressor. The most I’ll be adjusting is tire pressure. Thanks again for the assist.
