I have two friends who bought the 12’x14’ pavilion from costco, it’s like $1300 five or take $100, pretty sweet deal.

Are you preferring to the Aluminum one with roof? We have couple of those at work! They look nice but tend to get very hot underneath.
We have a very large window in the kitchen looking out to a beautiful garden view and don't want to block the view. I think a pergola with movable shade would work best for now!
I am definitely motivate to start my small project from looking at yours
