I think it depends on how BMW wants to market the car. If the intent is to provide a entry level M, just with upgrades from the current platform, I think they'd definitely have to keep the base price under 60k. Ie. 55-57k + options. If the intent is to market the vehicle for "the M2 specific buyer" I could see 60k+ base etc with options pushing into the 70's. I may be speaking for myself, but I think the latter would push most buyers into an M3/M4. Details can't come soon enough.
