In stop and go, don't "give it throttle" like normal. After a stop, just lightly tap the gas to put it into creep mode, and allow it to creep on its own instead. If you're trying to feed in throttle gradually like a manual car, it is slipping clutch to smooth that out, which you don't really want. You're better to just tap the gas and get it into creep mode, which AFAIK doesn't slip the clutch and gets it fully clamped and then just feeds absolute minimal throttle to keep it rolling.
