Since no one has replied to you I thought I'd chime in with this :
it uses only 1 bucket but each microfiber towel is also only used once so it is impossible to scratch your paint with contamination (other than what's on top of it).
It's the route I'm going with my M2 as it seems the safest.
As far as when to use I think it depends on the level of clean you need, if a rinseless doesn't remove everything then of course switch to hose/bucket (or if you're 100% rinseless let the stuff soak and keep it wet)
