Get your windshield protected by PPF.
It does prevent most of the damage unless you have life-threatening huge rock or object hitting the windshield.
Small rocks and stones that will give crack and chipping can be prevented with PPF + you can prolong the life of the windshield that could wear over general usage as well (simply change the film once in 5 years or something)
