Totally understand what you're saying - it's just that one isn't necessarily more involving than the other. We all have different perspectives on things like that - involving to one person might be annoyance to another.
I have had 9 manual transmission cars too - so I totally get it. I too enjoy the experience of a manual transmission. I also enjoy a PDK/DCT. It's just not a topic that can be settled on objective criteria.
