I just swapped mine out two weeks ago. It's not bad at all. If I were you I would DIY. The first time might take you 1-2 hours but after that it'll only take 20-30 min.
Here is a bare bones walk through:
-Unplug the two sensors up top
-Remove the skid pan
-Remove 3 or 5 small bolts on the support bracket
-Remove lower v-band clamp (it's a single bolt)
-Remove upper v-band clamp (also a single bolt)
That's it.
