Like many MT enthusiasts, the auto-rev match has always been the one feature of the M2 that makes me cringe. But having never experienced it first hand, I am very reassured that many of you seasoned MT drivers who have M2s have embraced this feature, and do not find it to be a nuisance.
Perhaps we just need to suck up our pride, concede that sometimes technology is more infallible than we are (sometimes, not always!), and count our blessings that we can even get the M2 with a 6MT, auto-rev match or not. I'm sure one day soon an MT will not even be available on M cars, and the debate surrounding auto-rev match will be the least of our concerns.
I for one will enjoy my M2, and cherish it as though it may be the last MT M-car I will own.
