Still under 1000 miles on my M2, but I get under 20 mpg in the city. I can get about 25 mpg on the highway. Mileage definitely isn't the draw for this car. My E36 M3 does closer to 30 mpg highway.

Our Cooper S has a 40 liter tank, but it sips fuel and has a better range between fillups by far.

And unless you're driving in East Nowhere, Wyoming, why does it matter? Is stopping for gas really burdensome?
