BMW loves ruining my previous cars.
The X1 35i was in my opinion, the best BMW that was currently available until the new FWD replaced it. Hugely tune-able turbo inline 6 with AWD, sport seats, the flashable transmission, great M-sport suspension, hydraulic steering, and tons of practicality. There was nothing like running 11s on the drag strip with ikea furniture in the hatch! So of course, they replace it with a soul-less FWD 4 cylinder.
Then I buy an M2 to get some of that soul back, and the next-gen 2 series is on the same damn FWD platform!
If this is true, it's Porsche time for me next time around.
