RS3 is Automatic and AWD, you CANNOT consider these two cars competitors!!!!!
They just happen to be similarly sized and priced...

I am an Audi FANBOI and I don't care for the RS3. They say it has "rear wheel drive feel/tendencies".... not so much |
Same here, got it for last weekend and after two days I didn't want to buy it anymore.
You can slide it around, I did it on wet roundabouts with esp off. The problem is you get understeer and snap oversteer so it's easy to crash and there is no rear diff like in M2 that makes it much more fun.
Yes the sound is good.
Yes you can feel the acceleration moving your insides.
Thing he says about the interior is spot on - had the same experience moving from M2 to RS3 day after day. M2 is much better built.
In RS3 with pano roof I was scraping it with my hair (I'm 6'2), RS seats are very high. M2 mich better in this regard.
