For a weekend car it has to be something you can get yourself in trouble with. To me that isn't really the GTR but to be fair I haven't driven anything new.
What you really want is the new 911T. Your weekend drive should be an occasion. No car is an investment, but at least an edition Porsche will depreciate less than the GTR or M2. Out of all of them the M2 will depreciate the most.

I dunno the M2 has a fairly cheap interior and is underpowered. It could use another 40hp IMO.
