If you're hearing clear sound degradation over wireless it's an issue with the head unit.

Play a lossless track back to back bn the wireless CarPlay in our cars and wired USB. You’ll hear a quality difference.
I suspect it’s bc we have Gen 1 like CarPlay in our OG M2’s and BMW uses a hybrid Bluetooth/WiFi setup for Carplay. There’s definitely some limitations in the implementation of CarPlay in our vehicles vs whatever the standard is now.
